Jupiter Florida Real Estate
The real estate market in Jupiter Florida has slowed but there is still many buyers sitting on the sidelines looking for that real estate deal. When I do see a property come up and it is priced below what others think the market is I see them being bought up quite rapidly.
The high end market has slowed a bit also. This includes the million dollar plus market.
The biggest problem I see is the cost of not the real estate itself but the so called extras that
come along with a condo or home purchase. Especially the condo purchase.
Insurance has skyrocketed pushing up monthly maintenance costs. Taxes at 2% of assessed
values is almost a mortgage payment just a few years back. The cost of home ownership
is driving the working class away. It is going to become the land of retirees again as it just is not feasible with todays home prices and wages for a family to stay in the area and raise their children.
Jupiter is different then most other cities in Palm Beach County in that they try to limit
the growth along the coastline. If you look at the amount of condos along our beaches you will be surprised as to the number available. You can see almost every beachfront condo in a day.
If you want to live along the beach expect to pay near $250 for a small 2/2 condo. That will be walking distance to the beach. You say you want an ocean view. Expect to pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $500,000 in Jupiter or Juno. Now you want something new, bigger and an ocean view. Look at spending a million plus depending upon the view and the building.
At the other end of Jupiter with have Jupiter Farms. Just a 15 minute ride to the beach from the country living of Jupiter Farms. Out there expect to pay $400,000 for a 3/2 on 1.25 acres of land. So we have both country living and beach living just minutes apart.
Along A1A we have a 3 mile bike path and sidewalk for you to stroll along and view the ocean.
We also have one of the few pet friendly beaches in Florida. You can thank the Friends of Jupiter Beach for that.
